Busy Monday

We have been super busy here in the shop!  The Civil War club is almost ready to go out.  This is somewhat of a major undertaking as we continue to figure out what is the best way to get everything done.  We had Ina quilt this one as it was a bit too big for me to handle on the regular machine.  She did a wonderful job on it and we are so glad that she could fit us in.  If you want to get in on this mailing you can sign up on the website at: http://farmchickquilts.com/fabrics-and-notions/.  The button is at the bottom of the page under the picture of the quilt.

We've also started getting some more fabrics in, so be watching for those to be on the website after the Civil War mailing goes out.

At the end of January we are planning on holding a tablerunner class.  On Saturday the 31st we will start the day with shopping at 9 a.m.  The class will start at 10 a.m. and we plan on having you at least finish the top.  If you are interested in quilting the tablerunner we will have a machine or two set up with a walking foot.  Anyone is welcome to come, but we need to know tentatively how many are planning to be there for table set up purposes.  We'll have some treats and drinks to tide you over.  There are pictures of the two options on the facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Farm-Chick-Quilts/765231246832120?ref=hl).   I'll post the details hopefully on Wednesday, so be watching.

And on a personal note...I took part of last week off to go on a snowmobiling trip to Northern Wisconsin with my husband, brother-in-law and sister-in-law.  We love the area up around Lake Namakagon and it is very fun to ride up there, much better than riding in ditches around here in my opinion.  We rented a cabin with a wonderful fireplace that we snuggled up with at night.  It was a great get-away and much needed after the holidays.

Well, better get back to the Civil War Club pattern.  Happy sewing.

  1. I do not see a picture of the quilt...only a picture of a tree and some snow??? Can you explain your civil war club and the cost/how it works, etc?
    • Here is a link to the page to sign up: http://farmchickquilts.com/fabrics-and-notions/. The club is mailed out every other month for $21.95. In each mailing you get a new pattern and 8 fat eighths. Most of our Civil War quilts are very scrappy, so what you get is just a starter pack. You can sign up anytime and you can opt out at any time also. The patterns that you receive will not be available for purchase until the next year. I hope this answers your questions.
