Holiday Hours and Another Jelly Roll Class

We have almost have been in our new building for a whole month today.  It's amazing how fast everything has evolved and I'm so glad for everyone who has stopped in.
We've had some free charm square blocks come in, but not enough to do a quilt.  Maybe we will have  a come and sew a block Saturday, we'll have to find a date and advertise the date and times.
What's New
A new magazine that has just come out is Punch Needle & Primitive Stitcher.  This magazine is the 1st needlework publication dedicated to those stitchers who love Punch Needle & Primitive Stitching Designs!  We are very excited to have this magazine in the shop.  Pick one up here in the shop or get your copy online.
They will be featuring exclusive & wonderful projects from your favorite Punch Needle, Prim Stitching & Rug Hooking designers and introduce you to some talented newcomers.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~A local craftsman (and my uncle) Stan Greiman has brought in some smaller and larger wooden items.  These gems range in size from bottle carriers and cookbook stands to small cupboards and a bench made from a door. We have also added some other items that are great little gift items.  Be sure to stop by to check them out.

Summer Hours

Our open hours are Tuesday - Friday 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.  There will be some days in the next few months that we will have different hours and we wanted you to be aware of these before you make the trip over.  July 3rd we will close at 3 p.m. and will not be open on July 4th.  If you are in Garner for Duesey Days on Saturday July 11th we will be open from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. so that we can enjoy the parade and festivities uptown.  Saturday July 25th we will be closed so we can participate in the Open Horse Show at the County Fair in Britt.  In August we will be closed from Tuesday the 4th through Thursday the 6th for our family vacation.  Thanks for understanding and being flexible.  If you are ever in question of when we are open go to our Facebook page to double check.

Jelly Roll Quilt Class
We will be holding our Pre-Cuts Class on July 7th and 8th.  We still have room in this class if anyone is interested.  If you have a conflict with the dates or times we will be holding a class for just the Jelly Roll quilt, Malaga from Villa Rosa Designs.

On Friday, July 17th we will get together at 7 p.m. to cut our strips and on Saturday, starting at 9:30 a.m. we will sew the strips together.  This quilt is a good beginner quilt that doesn't have a lot of cutting and you should be able to finish the top in these two days.
Cost for the class is $70, this cost includes fabric to finish your top, binding, pattern and lunch on Saturday.  If you're interested you can call (641-430-6341), or email (
