This month we chose a 10" block that goes by the name Hope of Hartford. We decided to use very patriotic colors for the 4th of July and conveniently we received some in the shop last month. This block is a bit tricky to piece, so I added some instructions to help you along.

I have been severely slacking on my UFO's, as I didn't work on this last one at all. All I had to do was put setting blocks into a quilt and I would have had the top finished. Oh well, this month we will be working on #2. I've lost my list of UFO's somewhere in the shop, so while I finish up organizing my new work spaces I'll hopefully find it and post what I'm supposed to work on.
If anyone is in the area don't forget to stop by our new shop at 211 State St. Garner, IA. It's right next to the red elevator at the north end of town. Our hours around the 4th are as follows: Friday the 3rd we will be open from 10 a.m. til 3 p.m., and we will be closed on Saturday the 4th. Have a safe and happy 4th!
